Allene is an instructional designer with the University of Pittsburgh Center for Excellence in Digital Education (Pitt EDGE). Her work focuses on designing and developing engaging courses and learning materials that support credit-bearing, continuing education, and innovative online and hybrid programs. Her professional interests include leveraging emerging technologies to drive excellence in instructional delivery and learner success, learning platform optimization, and instructional quality assurance practices.
Hyatt has over 20 years of experience across diverse educational contexts, contributing to curriculum design teams, training initiatives, and the development of digital courses across multiple LMS platforms. Her experience includes managing design projects, ensuring academic integrity and curriculum alignment, and implementing quality enhancement initiatives.
Outside of the University, Allene is a mom of two sons, a ministry leader, and enjoys baking and bowling.
