Lex Drozd

Senior Instructional Designer

Lex Drozd is a senior instructional designer at the University of Pittsburgh Center for Excellence in Digital Education (Pitt EDGE), where she manages comprehensive course development projects for programs that include law, healthcare, social work, and data science. With 15 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development and educational technology, she is recognized for her expertise in cross-disciplinary course design and AI-enhanced educational approaches. 

Drozd has successfully directed online course development for Coursera partnerships, led multi-course certificate programs, and developed innovative approaches to online education that serve as models for other IDs here and at other institutions. Her work focuses on maintaining the highest educational standards while building sustainable frameworks for continued innovation in online learning.

Her professional contributions include serving as Quality Matters Coordinator, leading faculty development cohorts across multiple schools, and providing expertise in educational accessibility and digital pedagogy. She also co-leads Instructional Design Partners, a cross-university collaborative network that promotes professional development and knowledge sharing among instructional design professionals.
