Natalie Baney is the executive director for Digital Enrollment for the University of Pittsburgh Center for Excellence in Digital Education (Pitt EDGE). She collaborates with schools and units across the University to oversee online and hybrid enrollment management. Throughout her career at the University of Pittsburgh, Baney has led transformative marketing and communications initiatives that have elevated the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS). As the school's inaugural executive director of Marketing and Communications, she established and scaled the Office of Marketing, Communications, Recruitment and Enrollment (MCRE), growing the team from three to 23 members in just four years and helping to launch and support the school's initial online and hybrid program portfolio.
As SHRS' director of Recruitment and first director of Communications, she built the school's internal communications framework, developed a cohesive content strategy to engage prospective students and stakeholders and launched its initial social media presence. She oversaw three full website redesigns, published the school’s first monthly internal newsletter and led a full redesign of the school's alumni magazine to strengthen engagement and amplify storytelling.
Under Baney’s strategic direction and vision, SHRS adopted a data-driven approach to enrollment marketing and communications. She guided the development of the school’s first full-funnel admissions dashboard. By prioritizing the collaboration of marketing and recruitment, she positioned the school to make more data-informed decisions to compete more effectively in a complex higher education enrollment landscape and better serve prospective students.
