Rebecca Yost is an instructional designer in the University of Pittsburgh Center for Excellence in Digital Education (Pitt EDGE). Yost is committed to designing innovative, effective and high-quality digital learning for students. With over 10 years of experience in instructional design and digital pedagogy, she specializes in supporting faculty in translating their expertise into engaging, accessible online learning opportunities, while centering the learner experience. Her work serves the launch of fully online degree programs at the University of Pittsburgh, blending creativity with practical design thinking and best practices, in consultation with faculty.
Prior roles included managing faculty development programs as an assistant director for Teaching and Learning. She brings knowledge of instructional systems design models, evaluation and assessment, accessibility and educational technologies to the team.
Yost is a participating member of numerous professional organizations, including the Quality Matters Instructional Design Association. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in the Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies program at Florida State University.
